Trace Elliot began in Essex, England, in 1979, with a focus on the needs of bass players: more amplifier power, low-frequency reproduction and greater control over tone. That approach continues in a range that spans stage amplifiers, portable equipment and models designed for acoustic instruments.

ELF amplifiers: compact equipment for travelling musicians

The ELF series is designed for musicians who value small dimensions and easy transport. The compact ELF amp head connects to a separate bass cabinet. Its three-band EQ provides tone control, the XLR DI output sends your signal to a mixing console or recording equipment, and the headphone output makes it useful for practising at home.

The ELF 1x8 and ELF 1x10 combos house the amplifier and speaker in a single enclosure, giving you one unit to carry to rehearsals and performances. The 1x10 and 2x8 cabinets can form a system with a separate amplifier or expand a compatible ELF combo.

TE-1200 and Trace Elliot tone controls

The TE-1200 is designed for bass players who need greater power and more tone control on stage. Its four-band EQ offers separate bass, low-mid, high-mid and treble adjustments. A dual-band compressor controls the dynamics of the low and high portions of the signal independently, while the Pre-Shape function applies the brand's characteristic EQ curve.

Transit B: bass tone in a pedal-format preamp

Transit B combines a preamp, five-band EQ, dual-band compressor, drive effect and tuner. Its DI outputs send the signal to a mixing console, keeping your tone controls at your feet. The separate Dual Band Compressor and Overdrive pedals offer options for expanding an existing pedalboard.

Trace Acoustic equipment for acoustic instruments

Designed for acoustic guitar, Transit A combines tone controls, compression, a tuner and chorus, delay and reverb effects. Its notch filter helps reduce acoustic feedback when amplifying an instrument on stage. The Acoustic Clarity pedal enhances acoustic-electric instruments by adjusting the low and high ends of the frequency spectrum.

Trace Elliot equipment at Stage IQ

The Stage IQ range includes Trace Elliot bass amplifiers, cabinets, preamps and effects pedals, alongside Trace Acoustic models. The Transformer DI box converts between balanced and unbalanced connections. When pairing an amplifier with a cabinet, check their power ratings and load impedance.
