Trace Elliot Transit A is an acoustic guitar preamp with effects.

Route the instrument signal to an amplifier, mixer or recorder. PIEZO mode raises input impedance above 10 MΩ and adds 10 dB of gain for a passive piezo pickup.

Gain-controlled compression works alongside three-band EQ and Pre-Shape voicing. The variable notch filter targets feedback frequencies, while phase reversal offers another way to adjust the interaction between instrument and speakers.

Chorus, delay and reverb have dedicated controls and footswitches. Tap Tempo sets the delay timing, with selectable trails after bypass. Boost adds up to 10 dB ahead of the compressor.

Stereo outputs are joined by separate pre/post XLR DI connections and a dry feed. Output Level does not change the XLR levels. Aux input and headphones support practice with an external audio source. Holding the Reverb switch engages the tuner and mutes every output except Dry.
