Trace Elliot Transit B is a bass preamp with effects.

Passive/Active switching accommodates different instrument signals. Gain and Output Level set input gain and the main output level separately, with an indicator showing input clipping.

Five-band EQ and Pre-Shape adjust the voicing. Dual-band compression processes frequencies on either side of a 333 Hz crossover and can operate before or after the equalizer.

Drive provides valve-style distortion, with Blend mixing processed and clean signals. Bass Enhancement generates low-frequency subharmonics and should be used with cabinets capable of reproducing the added bass content.

Instrument- and line-level outputs sit alongside Dry and separate pre/post XLR DI feeds. Output Level does not affect the DI levels. Aux input and headphones support practice with an external audio source, and tuner mute silences every output except Dry.
