Yamaha WS-X1A Powered Wireless Speaker
Yamaha WS-X1A is a powered wireless speaker with a rechargeable battery, also known as True X Speaker 1A.
SOLO mode plays music from a phone over Bluetooth. In a True X Surround setup, the same unit works as a wireless rear speaker with a compatible True X Bar 40A or 50A system.
The compact fabric-covered cabinet contains one full-range driver and two passive radiators. Top buttons control volume, playback and Clear Voice speech enhancement.
Each purchase includes one speaker, available in black, carbon gray or light gray. True X Surround and MusicCast are separate systems; this model does not support MusicCast.
Main Features
- One button switches between SOLO and SURROUND modes.
- One rear speaker can reproduce both surround channels; two speakers separate the left and right channels.
- Clear Voice makes dialogue and speech easier to hear.
- IP67 provides dust and water protection; do not charge the speaker while it is wet.
- USB-C is used for charging. The CC-T1A charging cradle is optional, and a USB power adapter is not included.
- A 1/4-20 threaded socket accepts an optional wall bracket.
- The playback button pauses music or skips tracks without reaching for the phone.
- Wireless audio and battery power allow the speaker to move between listening locations.
