Yamaha RX-V6A is a 7.2-channel AV receiver.

Seven amplifier channels support a 7.1 or 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos layout. Two subwoofer outputs connect powered subwoofers and carry the same mono signal.

YPAO with R.S.C. and multi-point measurement adjusts playback to room acoustics. MusicCast provides network music and control of compatible devices in other rooms.

HDMI inputs accommodate multiple video sources, while a Phono MM input accepts a turntable. Zone 2 sends audio to another room; using its powered channels limits the main room to 5.1 channels.

Main Features

• Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD, DTS:X and Neural:X handle immersive soundtracks. Height Virtualizer can simulate height effects without dedicated height speakers when suitable firmware is installed.
• CINEMA DSP 3D offers 17 programs, with Virtual Presence, Virtual Surround Back and SILENT CINEMA for different listening arrangements.
• YPAO Volume, Adaptive DRC and Dialogue Lift adjust listening level and dialogue presentation.
• Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2, Internet radio and Roon Tested support provide several music sources. Service availability varies by region.
• MusicCast Surround works with two optional MusicCast 20 speakers or one MusicCast 50.
• Party mode plays the same music across zones. Bi-amp wiring separately drives compatible front-speaker sections while limiting the main system to 5.1 channels.
• 8 SCENE presets, 4 front buttons, the remote and web control provide quick source access. MusicCast CONTROLLER and AV SETUP GUIDE assist with operation and setup.
• Pure Direct simplifies the signal path, Compressed Music Enhancer serves compressed music, and ECO with automatic standby reduces consumption.
• HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG, VRR and ALLM require compatible equipment. QMS is not supported.
