Yamaha R-S202D is a stereo receiver with DAB/DAB+ and FM radio. Built-in Bluetooth plays music from a phone or another compatible source, while analog inputs connect a CD player and other audio equipment.

The design uses short signal paths. The power transformer sits close to the amplifier circuit, with one-point grounding to reduce interference.

A and B speaker outputs select one pair or both together. Use speakers rated at least 8 Ω for one pair, or at least 16 Ω per speaker when both pairs play simultaneously.

The remote selects sources, radio stations and volume. Bass, treble and balance controls adjust playback to suit the system, and display brightness is adjustable.

• Sleep timer: 30/60/90/120 min. Auto standby after 2/4/8/12 hours of inactivity, or disabled.
• The remote also operates compatible Yamaha CD players.
• Drives passive speakers from analog and Bluetooth sources. A turntable requires a built-in or external phono preamp.
• A DAB/FM antenna, remote and 2 AA batteries are included.
