The Tannoy REVEAL 502 is an active 5-inch studio monitor with dedicated low-frequency and high-frequency amplifiers.

Designed for nearfield monitoring at a typical listening distance of 0.75–3 m, its enclosure is suitable for a desktop, personal studio or small control room. The tuned front-firing bass port provides greater flexibility when positioning the monitor near a wall.

A 130 mm multi-fibre paper-cone driver reproduces low and midrange frequencies, while a 25 mm soft-dome driver handles the high frequencies. Separate 50 W RMS and 25 W RMS amplifiers provide 75 W RMS of combined amplifier power.

Connections include a balanced XLR input and unbalanced 6.35 mm and 3.5 mm inputs. The Monitor Link output and supplied 5 m cable can carry a stereo signal to a second REVEAL monitor. Three-position high-frequency EQ helps adapt the response to the room.
