The Shure QLXD2/B58-K51 is a professional, metal-bodied handheld wireless transmitter designed for use with QLX-D digital systems. This model comes with a premium Beta 58A supercardioid dynamic capsule. Unlike standard microphones, the Beta 58A provides better isolation from side noise and allows for higher gain-before-feedback, making it ideal for noisy stages and concerts. The transmitter operates in the K51 frequency band (606–670 MHz).

The QLXD2 ensures completely transparent 24-bit digital audio transmission and boasts a wide dynamic range of over 120 dB. This feature means that gain adjustment is not necessary on the transmitter – it automatically processes both quiet and very loud signals without distortion. AES-256 encryption is used for secure data transmission, making the system suitable for confidential events. The transmitter features external charging contacts, allowing for convenient charging in dedicated stations using an optional Shure lithium-ion battery.
