Showtec Polar Wash 740 Moving Head

Seven 40 W RGBL LEDs deliver a combined 4060 lm output. A lime component supplements RGB colour mixing, with a CRI of 85 for white light.

Motorised 3.5–44° zoom provides narrow beams or a broad wash. The main LEDs have two control zones: the centre LED and the six outer LEDs. A separate RGB ring produces coloured patterns with indexing, rotation and back-and-forth movement.

DMX/RDM control is complemented by an automatic program and two editable programs. Six DMX personalities use 19, 21, 22, 25 or 28 channels. A wireless DMX module is available separately.

The IP65 aluminium housing supports indoor and outdoor use. Adjustable PWM frequency helps configure the fixture for camera work, while selectable fan modes allow noise and cooling requirements to be considered. Settings are accessed through an OLED.

Who Is It For

For coloured stage and event lighting indoors or outdoors. Adjustable PWM is useful for camera work, while the separate effects ring adds visible patterns to the main illumination. Outdoor installation requires the manufacturer’s connector-protection and mounting instructions to be followed.
