The sE Electronics VR2 Voodoo marks a new era in ribbon microphone technology, combining classic warm sound with modern active electronics. It is an active ribbon microphone which, unlike passive models, uses an integrated amplification circuit to ensure higher sensitivity and stable operation with any mixer or interface. Thanks to the patented mechanical design developed by Siwei Zou, this studio microphone achieves a full frequency range of 20 Hz – 20 kHz, maintaining a natural sound texture.

The VR2 is an extremely versatile instrument microphone, capable of handling high sound pressure without distortion. Its Figure-8 polar pattern allows sound to be captured from both sides, perfectly isolating side noises, making it ideal for recording guitar amplifiers, choirs, or orchestras. The handmade 2.5-micron aluminum ribbon ensures impeccable detail, making this model valued in both professional recording studios and concert stages.
