It is the cardioid-only version of the popular T2 model, utilizing the exact same handcrafted twin 1-inch titanium-sputtered brass capsule. This ensures an ultra-fast transient response and a warm, smooth sound character.

This microphone features a dent-proof, die-cast all-metal housing with a spring steel wire mesh grille and metal switches, making it highly roadworthy for touring professionals and demanding studio use. The unique flat, round-edged chassis allows it to fit centered within the custom shockmount and be placed flat against a drum head or guitar cabinet for close-miking. With its switchable attenuation pads, the T1 offers very high headroom, handling extreme sound pressure levels up to 157 dB, while maintaining a remarkably low self-noise of just 9 dB(A).
