The sE Electronics sE2300 is a large-diaphragm true-condenser microphone with three selectable polar patterns. Cardioid, omnidirectional and figure-8 modes support vocals, speech, acoustic instruments, guitar cabinets, piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, drums and room recording.

Its hand-built 1-inch capsule uses a gold-sputtered Mylar diaphragm, Class-A electronics and a custom output transformer. The metal housing protects the electronics and helps reject electromagnetic interference. The microphone delivers analogue audio through a 3-pin XLR output and requires 48 V phantom power.

The -10 and -20 dB pad settings provide additional headroom for close placement near loud sources. The 80 and 160 Hz low-cut filter settings reduce vibration, rumble and excessive proximity-effect bass. The supplied Isolation Pack combines a shockmount with a removable metal pop filter. An XLR cable and microphone stand are not included.
