Samson SRK16 is an open 16U studio rack for standard 19-inch equipment. It is designed to hold amplifiers, signal processors, receivers, patchbays, and other rackmount audio hardware in studios, rehearsal spaces, and technical rooms.

The steel frame has enclosed side panels with ventilation perforations and mounting rails at both the front and rear. The rails accept US and European thread standards, and screws for both formats are supplied. A single 1U blank panel covers one unused space.

Four 3-inch / 75 mm casters allow the rack to move across a level floor, with brakes on the two front wheels. Maximum rated load is 300 lb / 136 kg with the casters fitted and 450 lb / 204 kg without them. This is a studio rack rather than an enclosed flight case: it has no front or rear lids and does not provide transport-case protection.

The SRK16 stands 30.75 inches / 781 mm high without casters and 34.75 inches / 883 mm with them, with a width of 20 inches / 508 mm and depth of 18 inches / 457 mm. Deep equipment must be checked for chassis depth, rear connector clearance, cable bend radius, and ventilation space in addition to its 19-inch width and rack-unit height.

Who Is It For
