Samson S-Patch Plus is a 19-inch rackmount, fully balanced 48-point analogue audio patchbay. It brings the inputs and outputs of a studio or installed sound system to one accessible panel, allowing signal routes to be changed without repeatedly reaching behind a mixer, audio interface, effects processor, or other rack equipment.

The unit contains 24 patch pairs, with 48 front-panel and 48 rear-panel 1/4-inch TRS connectors. A three-position switch on the front of every pair selects Normal, Half-normal, or Thru operation. Individual channels can therefore retain a default route, provide a parallel signal tap, or work as direct front-to-rear connections.

In Normal mode, inserting a plug at the front breaks the default route. Half-normal mode allows the upper front jack to take a copy of the signal without interrupting the rear connection, while using the lower front jack replaces the route. In Thru mode, the front and rear jacks in each row connect directly with no internal link between the upper and lower rows.

The S-Patch Plus is intended for balanced line-level audio on TRS connections. It is passive and requires no power. Routing phantom-powered microphone lines or loudspeaker-level signals through a patchbay should be avoided unless every part of the system is expressly designed for that use.

Who Is It For
