Samson RSXM10A is a compact two-way powered stage monitor built around a 10-inch low-frequency driver and a coaxially mounted 1-inch high-frequency driver. It is intended for musician, vocalist, and DJ monitoring, while its Monitor/FOH switch also prepares the cabinet for use as a compact front-of-house speaker.

The Class D amplifier delivers 350 watts RMS / 700 watts peak to the low-frequency section and 50 watts RMS / 100 watts peak to the high-frequency section. Samson specifies a 60 Hz to 20 kHz response, 125 dB maximum SPL at one metre, and 70° × 70° coverage. The coaxial arrangement places both frequency bands on a common acoustic axis.

A balanced combination XLR/1/4-inch input accepts microphone- or line-level sources, and a balanced XLR Link output passes the signal to another speaker. A single Volume control sets the input level. The Monitor/FOH switch changes the system voicing for floor-monitor placement or upright main-speaker use.

The wooden enclosure is protected by a perforated steel grille and includes two side handles. An integrated 1 3/8-inch pole socket fits a standard speaker stand. The RSXM10A has no internal battery and requires AC power.

Who Is It For

The RSXM10A is designed for bands, singers, DJs, and event technicians who need a compact self-powered floor monitor. It can be raised on a stand in FOH mode, but its input section is deliberately simple; a separate mixer is required when several sources need to be combined.
