Samson Q7x is a wired dynamic microphone built for vocal work on stage and in the studio. Its ability to handle high sound pressure also makes it useful for close-miking loud instruments. The supercardioid pattern focuses on sound arriving from the front and rejects much of the spill from the sides, helping performers work around stage monitors and nearby instruments.

A neodymium dynamic element covers 50 Hz to 16 kHz, with a tailored midrange presence intended to keep vocals articulate. A maximum level of 147 dB SPL extends its role beyond speech and singing to sources such as snare drums and guitar cabinets, where the microphone can be placed close to the sound source.

The capsule sits in an improved multi-axis shock mount that reduces noise transferred through the body while the microphone is being handled. A die-cast body and hardened steel grille protect the internal element during regular stage use. The Q7x has no on/off switch and does not require phantom power.

A standard three-pin XLR microphone cable connects the Q7x to a microphone input on a mixer, audio interface, stage box, or recorder. Samson supplies a stand clip with the microphone.
