Samson DE50x is a low-profile dual-ear condenser headset with a 2.5 mm omnidirectional capsule. It is intended for speech and vocal use in theatre, broadcasting, houses of worship, presentations, fitness classes, and live performance. An adjustable headframe and boom keep the element stable while the wearer moves.

Four detachable 1.2 m adapter cables terminate in 3.5 mm, Hirose 4-pin, Switchcraft TA3F, and Switchcraft TA4F connectors. This allows the microphone to work with many Samson and third-party wireless systems. Connector shape alone does not confirm compatibility; the transmitter pin wiring and its ability to supply 1.5-12 V DC must also be checked.

The DE50x covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz, handles up to 140 dB SPL, and provides a 110 dB dynamic range. Its omnidirectional pattern remains comparatively consistent as the angle of the capsule changes, but it captures more room and stage sound than a cardioid headset.

A gold-plated connector, moisture-resistant coating, and stainless-steel mesh grille complement the IP65 dust and water-jet protection. The rating does not permit immersion or washing. After high-energy use, the microphone should be allowed to dry before it is stored in the case.

Who Is It For
