Samson DE10x is a low-profile, dual-ear condenser headset microphone for speech and vocal applications. Its 3 mm omnidirectional capsule captures sound evenly around the element, making placement less critical than it is with a directional headset. The headframe and microphone boom adjust for different users.

The DE10x is designed for wireless bodypack transmitters. Four detachable 1.2 m adapter cables are supplied, terminating in 3.5 mm, Hirose 4-pin, Switchcraft TA3F, and Switchcraft TA4F connectors. These cover many Samson and third-party systems, but the connector, pin wiring, and available 1.5-12 V operating voltage must all match the specific transmitter.

A 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response covers the full speech and vocal range, while the capsule accepts up to 130 dB SPL. A stainless-steel mesh grille, moisture-resistant coating, and gold-plated connector protect the signal path. The IP65 rating covers dust and water jets, but it does not make the microphone suitable for immersion.

An omnidirectional capsule also captures more surrounding sound than a cardioid headset. In amplified spaces, keeping the capsule appropriately close to the mouth and setting loudspeaker position and gain carefully will help control feedback.
