Description
Samson C02 Matched Pair Condenser Microphones
Samson C02 2-Pack is a professional solution for stereo recording in the studio and on stage. The set includes two small-diaphragm condenser microphones that are factory-matched (sensitivity deviation does not exceed ±0.5 dB). This ensures ideal balance when using stereo miking techniques (e.g., X-Y or ORTF).
Due to the low mass of the small diaphragm, C02 microphones feature a linear frequency response and excellent transient reproduction. This means they very accurately capture sudden sound changes characteristic of acoustic instruments, pianos, and drum cymbals. The cardioid polar pattern effectively suppresses sounds from the rear and sides, reducing the risk of feedback and isolating the desired instrument.
The microphones have gold-plated XLR connectors for better conductivity and require 48V phantom power. The kit includes everything needed for safe use and transport.
Key Features
- Matched Pair: Microphones are selected so that their sensitivity difference is no more than ±0.5 dB.
- Small Diaphragm: Ensures fast response to sound attacks and detailed high frequencies.
- Sound Pressure Resistance: Withstands up to 134 dB SPL, making it suitable for loud sources (cymbals).
- Polar Pattern: Cardioid for precise sound capture from the front.
- Protection: Included shock-mounted mic clips reduce mechanical noise.
