Samson AirLine AWXm Wind Instrument Wireless System
The Samson AirLine AWXm is a wireless microphone system for wind instruments.
The ATX transmitter and HM60 microphone clip directly to the instrument bell, removing the need for a beltpack. The HM60 condenser microphone has a supercardioid pickup pattern and a flexible 21.6 cm gooseneck with a P3 connector. A three-point isolation mount reduces mechanically transmitted vibration noise.
The AR99m receiver uses True RF Diversity reception. Automatic channel scan helps select a clear operating channel, while IR synchronisation matches the transmitter and receiver frequencies. Tone key suppresses unwanted noise when the transmitter is switched off or out of range.
The rechargeable ATX battery provides up to 8 hours of operation. Gain and Mute controls are located on the transmitter. The magnetic charging cable connects to the receiver's USB port or a suitable 5 V USB power source; transmission is disabled during charging.
XLR, 6.3 mm and 3.5 mm receiver outputs connect the system to audio equipment. The USB port also supports an optional Samson XPD receiver. This G-band version operates at 863–865 MHz.
Main Features
- Bell mounting leaves the player's hands free without a separate beltpack transmitter.
- Operating range is up to 100 m with a clear line of sight between transmitter and receiver.
- The microphone handles up to 125 dB SPL, accommodating the attacks of wind instruments.
