Polk Audio RC6S Stereo In-Ceiling Speaker

One speaker reproduces both stereo channels through a dual-voice-coil 6.5-inch driver and two separate tweeters.

RC6S suits kitchens, bathrooms and hallways where installing two separate speakers would be impractical. Both stereo amplifier channels connect to the single speaker.

The bass/midrange driver uses a mineral-filled polypropylene cone and a rubber surround. In the RC6S, its dual voice coil combines left and right midrange and bass, while two soft-dome tweeters reproduce the high frequencies of the separate channels.

The white grilles and visible flanges can be painted to coordinate with the room finish. Keep the grille perforations clear and protect the drivers with the supplied paint masks when painting.

• Speaker terminals accept cable from an external amplifier. The speakers are compatible with 8 Ω amplifier outputs.
• Recommended amplifier power is 20–100 W RMS per channel. This rating is an amplifier selection recommendation.
• Paintable grilles let the visible speaker surface coordinate with the wall or ceiling colour.
• Check the opening dimensions and available cavity depth before mounting. The mounting surface must support the speaker securely.
• Infinite Baffle tuning uses the cavity behind the mounting surface as a virtual enclosure for bass reproduction.
• Rotating cam mounting tabs clamp the speaker to the mounting surface.
• Moisture-resistant materials suit kitchens, bathrooms and sheltered roof eaves. This is not an immersion-in-water rating.
• Polk lists matching use with Signature Elite, Signature, Monitor XT and T Series speakers.
