Polk Audio MagniFi Mini AX is a compact soundbar system with a powered wireless subwoofer.

The 366 mm-wide soundbar contains five drivers. Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Polk SDA processing create a spacious soundstage. Height effects are generated virtually, without separate upward-firing drivers.

The wireless subwoofer pairs automatically and adds low-frequency weight to films and music. It still needs a mains outlet. An optional SR2 speaker pair adds discrete rear surround channels.

TV connection options include HDMI eARC/ARC, optical and an analogue 3.5 mm input. An OLED display shows settings and disappears when idle. The system works with many TV remotes, and Roku TV Ready simplifies setup with a compatible television.

Main Features

• VoiceAdjust and a dedicated centre channel let you raise dialogue without increasing the level of the entire soundtrack.
• BassAdjust sets the desired low-frequency level for films and music.
• Movie, Music, 3D and Night modes tailor the processing to the programme. Night mode reduces bass and brings speech forward.
• AirPlay 2 and Chromecast provide Wi-Fi music streaming from compatible apps.
• Spotify Connect allows playback control from the Spotify app; a firmware update may be required.
• Bluetooth 5.0 connects a phone or another compatible audio source directly.
• The subwoofer can be positioned up to 9 m from the soundbar, subject to room obstructions and wireless conditions.

Dolby Atmos and DTS:X require a suitable HDMI connection and a compatible audio source. Optical and analogue connections do not carry these immersive formats.

Who Is It For
