Pioneer DJ VM-80 is an active two-way studio monitor.

Flat voicing supports critical listening during music production in a home or professional studio. The monitor also suits DJ practice, with a fast, punchy bass response. Rear-panel LOW EQ and HIGH EQ controls adapt the response to the room and speaker placement.

Separate Class D amplifiers with 96 kHz DSP drive the 203 mm aramid-fibre woofer and 25 mm soft-dome tweeter. A 4 mm aluminum front baffle suppresses vibrations, while the constant-directivity horn provides broad, even mid- and high-frequency coverage.

An audio interface, DJ mixer or other analog equipment connects through the balanced XLR/TRS input or unbalanced RCA input. Each monitor has its own rear-panel volume control.

Main Features

• Vortex Bass Accelerator ribs guide airflow through the port to reduce unwanted vibrations.
• The aramid cones are 30% lighter than conventional paper-lined aramid cones.
• LOW EQ and HIGH EQ each have 4 positions, giving 16 combinations. FLAT settings retain the neutral response.
• CLUB BASS emphasises the low end; BRIGHT TREBLE brings out high-frequency instrument detail.
• A tweeter guard helps protect the high-frequency diaphragm from damage.
• XLR/TRS and RCA input signals are mixed, so match the levels of connected sources.
• Auto standby activates after approximately 20 minutes without a signal and wakes the monitor when audio returns. The AUTO STANDBY function can be disabled.
• Connect each monitor to the mains with its supplied power cord. Sold as 1 unit; a stereo pair requires two.
• The supplied bottom cushions help prevent the monitor from sliding.
