Pioneer DJ DM-50D is a pair of active two-way speakers.

Use the speakers for music production in a home studio and for DJ practice. Production mode selects a flatter frequency response, while DJ mode gives the bass a punchier character.

A Class D amplifier with 96 kHz DSP drives both channels. Each speaker uses a 127 mm glass-fibre woofer and a 19 mm soft-dome tweeter. The drivers are time-aligned for clear reproduction across the frequency range.

Connect a DJ controller, mixer or audio interface through balanced TRS or unbalanced RCA and 3.5 mm inputs. The volume control and headphone output are on the front panel for easy access.

• Use the SOUND MODE switch to select DJ or Production processing.
• The speakers are muted when headphones are connected, leaving playback in the headphones only.
• Signals from all inputs are mixed, so adjust the levels of connected sources as well.
• After approximately 20 minutes without audio, the system enters standby and wakes when a signal arrives. Auto standby cannot be disabled.
• The supplied power cord connects the left speaker to the mains; the speaker connection cord links it to the right unit. Do not connect the pair to another power amplifier.
• The supplied 3.5 mm stereo-to-RCA cable connects an analog audio source.
• The supplied bottom cushions help prevent the speakers from sliding.
