Peavey VYPYR X2 is a modeling guitar amplifier with 60 watts RMS and a 12-inch speaker. Its input mode can be matched to electric, acoustic-electric or bass guitar.

The TransTube circuit provides analog distortion, while digital processing handles amplifier models and effects. There are 36 amplifier models, including six acoustic and six bass models.

Sixteen user presets store the selected sound. LED indicators around the controls show the active parameter values even after a different preset is recalled.

Built-in delay, reverb and a chromatic tuner are complemented by Tap Tempo for setting the delay interval. Ten instrument models provide additional voicing options.

USB provides audio recording to a computer. A 3.5 mm Aux input accepts backing audio, and the headphone output supports quiet practice. Looper operation requires a separately sold Sanpera I or Sanpera II.

Bluetooth accepts backing audio from a compatible device, allowing the player to perform along with a recording without a separate audio cable.
