Peavey PVX 12 is a passive two-way loudspeaker with a 12-inch woofer and a RX14 compression driver with a 1.4 inch titanium diaphragm. It requires a separate power amplifier matched to its nominal 8-ohm load.

The manufacturer specification lists 200 W continuous, 400 W program and 800 W peak power handling. These ratings describe different measurement conditions and are not interchangeable; amplifier selection must account for speaker load and proper signal management.

Nominal horn coverage is 100 degrees horizontally and 50 degrees vertically. The main vertical coverage axis tilts down by 10 degrees. Frequency response extends from 60 Hz to 20 kHz with a stated ±3 dB tolerance.

The trapezoidal plastic cabinet can be mounted on a suitable speaker stand or placed on its angled side as a stage monitor. Metal grilles protect the drivers; a four-pin twist-lock connector and 1/4-inch jack are wired in parallel at the input.
