Peavey PVs 18 is a powered subwoofer with an 18-inch woofer. Its vented enclosure and built-in amplifier extend a sound system's low-frequency output.

Amplifier output is specified as 1000 W peak and 500 W sine-wave power into 4 Ω. Built-in DSP handles limiting, response shaping and infrasonic filtering, providing the crossover functions needed for a basic system connection.

Crossover frequency adjusts from 90 to 180 Hz. Two filtered XLR outputs feed higher frequencies to the main speakers, while a separate Thru output carries the full-range input signal.

A polarity switch selects 0° or 180° to help align the subwoofer with the rest of the system. Ground Lift disconnects the input cable shield when addressing a signal ground loop.

The MDF cabinet includes steel handles, a protective metal grille and four locking transport casters. The supplied M20 threaded pole supports a suitable top speaker, subject to the specified weight, height and pole-length limits.
