Peavey MAX 100 Bass Amplifier
Peavey MAX 100 is a bass combo amplifier with a 10-inch speaker. Its angled speaker baffle directs sound upwards towards the player without tilting the entire cabinet.
The model is rated at up to 100 W, with continuous output specified as 60 W RMS into 8 Ω. DDT limiting helps control overload as playing volume increases.
TransTube Overdrive adds drive to the bass sound. Three-band EQ, Contour, Mid Shift and Bright switches adjust frequency balance, while Kosmos-C provides further low-frequency enhancement.
Separate Passive and Active inputs accommodate basses with different output levels. An XLR DI output with Ground Lift feeds a mixer, while auxiliary and headphone connections support backing tracks and quiet practice.
Main Features
- The upward-facing speaker baffle improves audibility for a player standing nearby.
- TransTube Overdrive adds distortion within the amplifier's signal path.
- Contour reduces midrange for an alternative tonal balance.
- Mid Shift changes the mid control's centre frequency between 600 and 250 Hz.
- Bright boosts frequencies above 1 kHz.
- The chromatic tuner and Tune/Mute function allow silent tuning.
- The effects loop provides connections for external bass processors.
- DDT limiting helps protect the speaker from amplifier overload.
