Peavey F-1200B is a Super Festival bass amplifier head. Its preamp follows the early F-800B discrete-transistor circuit, with voicing selected by Hartley Peavey.

The power stage delivers 1200 watts RMS into 4 ohms at 5% THD+N. At 1% THD+N, the manual specifies 1100 watts into 4 ohms or 835 watts into 8 ohms, so output ratings must be considered with load and distortion conditions.

Bass, Middle and Treble controls are complemented by a separate six-band inductive equalizer. Overdrive and Master Volume adjust drive character and overall volume independently.

Separate Pre and Post XLR outputs with Ground Lift provide feeds from different points in the signal chain. USB-C supports recording, and the buffered effects loop has level selection and footswitch control.

Preamp Out and Power Amp In connect additional amplification stages. Two TRS footswitch inputs operate Mute, Boost, Overdrive and the effects loop; a compatible controller must be selected according to the manual.
