Peavey Decade Too Guitar Amplifier

Peavey Decade Too Guitar Amplifier

Peavey Decade Too is a solid-state guitar combo with an eight-inch Celestion speaker. Its power amplifier is rated at 10 W RMS into a four-ohm total load. The speaker was developed with Celestion around the character of a 1980 Rola speaker.

The Saturation switch adds distortion, while Pre Gain and Post Gain set gain and output level independently. Low, Mid and High equalization is supplemented by Bass Boost and Top Enhancement switches for low- and high-frequency shaping.

A buffered effects loop has Send and Return connections for external processing. The loop and Saturation can be controlled with the separately sold Peavey 03620970 two-button footswitch without LEDs. An LED-equipped footswitch cannot remotely switch Saturation.

A transformer-balanced XLR direct output has dedicated level adjustment and Ground Lift. It sends the amplifier signal to recording or sound-reinforcement equipment. A separate 1/4-inch Preamp Out carries the preamp signal to other compatible equipment.

Two parallel speaker outputs are fitted at the rear. The internal speaker is eight ohms, allowing an additional eight-ohm guitar cabinet to present the minimum permitted four-ohm total load. Speaker Phase reverses speaker-signal polarity; its effect on acoustic feedback depends on the guitar and playing conditions.
