Peavey 6505 II is a 120-watt RMS tube guitar amplifier head. Its Rhythm and Lead channels have separate tone and gain controls.

Four 6L6GC power tubes and six 12AX7 tubes form the amplifier circuit. Each channel has independent Pre Gain, Post Gain and three-band equalization.

Bright changes the Rhythm channel’s upper-frequency response and Crunch adds gain. Separate Resonance and Presence controls for each channel adjust power-amplifier response.

The included metal three-button footswitch controls channel selection, Crunch and the effects loop. Send and Return connect external processing, while Preamp Out provides the preamp signal.

Two parallel speaker outputs and a 4-, 8- or 16-ohm selector match the head to the guitar cabinet. This amplifier head requires a cabinet presenting the correct load for playing.
