Modal Electronics Carbon8M is a compact yet powerful synthesizer, housing the entire revolutionary "Carbon8" sound generation system in a smaller format. It's an ideal solution for producers with limited studio space or those who want to integrate powerful 8-voice experimental digital synthesis into their 19-inch rack system. The module uses the same two oscillators with 56 cores, creating unique algorithms and wavetables.

Despite its small size, control remains intuitive: on the front panel, you'll find 26 encoders (13 with button functionality), 9 buttons, and an X/Y joystick for modulation. The Carbon8M supports MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression), which, when connected to a compatible controller, opens up incredible expressive possibilities. The instrument can operate independently on a desktop or be mounted in a 3U space (brackets included).
