Modal Electronics Carbon8 is a new generation experimental digital synthesizer that pushes the boundaries of traditional synthesis. At its heart is a revolutionary sound generation system with two independent oscillators, each featuring 56 digital cores. This allows for sound generation using 18 high-resolution algorithms and 38 complex wavetables. From sharp, cutting basses to incredibly deep, evolving textures, the Carbon8 is designed for sound explorers.

The instrument features a robust aluminum and steel construction and a premium Fatar TP9/S 37-key keyboard with aftertouch. Powerful sound shaping is provided by XCore modifiers (e.g., phase distortion, wave folding), 34 filter types (including morphable ones), and three independent stereo effects processors. Intuitive control with 29 encoders, an X/Y joystick, and an OLED display allows for quick and creative manipulation of every sonic nuance.
