DPA MMP-C Microphone Preamp

DPA MMP-C is a compact preamp for the modular pencil microphone series.

It combines with a DPA capsule from the series. The capsule determines the pickup pattern, while the MMP-C supplies a 3-pin XLR output. The connected equipment must provide P48 phantom power.

The preamp is 41 mm long, 19 mm in diameter and weighs 40 g, making it suitable for installations with little mounting space. DPA describes its character as slightly softer than that of the other preamps in the series.

Its active drive provides an impedance-balanced output. DPA specifies cable drive capability up to 100 m. The dynamic-range and shorted-input noise figures below describe the preamp itself; the acoustic performance of a complete microphone also depends on the capsule.
