MIDAS DP48 is a dual 48-channel personal monitor mixer that allows two performers to control independent monitor mixes on stage or in the studio.

The 48 audio channels received via AES50 can be assigned to 12 stereo groups. Vocals, drums, guitars, keyboards and other sources can be combined into logical groups, allowing performers to control a complex monitor mix without adjusting every channel separately.

DP48 creates two independent stereo monitor mixes, labelled Mix A and Mix B. Each mix has dedicated controls for output volume, selected group level and the assignable My Group level. Both mixes also provide separate EQ, reverb level and limiter settings, allowing each performer to adapt the sound to their in-ear monitors or headphones.

Every group includes a 3-band EQ, compressor, reverb and panorama control. The built-in stereo ambience microphone allows performers to hear the stage, communicate with other musicians and maintain a connection with the audience. Automatic ducking reduces the ambience microphone level while the band is playing.

Stereo monitor mixes can be recorded to and played back from an SD or SDHC card, which can also store complete mixer presets. DP48 is compatible with 44.1 and 48 kHz AES50 devices, including compatible MIDAS and Behringer digital consoles and I/O units. When used with a MIDAS HUB4, audio, control data and PoE power can be carried by a single CAT 5e cable.
