MIDAS DN4816-I Digital Stage Box

The MIDAS DN4816-I digital stage box is designed to collect 16 analogue line-level audio signals and carry them over StageConnect in live sound, monitoring and installed audio systems.

The unit provides 16 balanced XLR inputs. These inputs do not include microphone preamplifiers, so microphone signals must first be amplified by a separate preamplifier or mixing console before they are connected to the DN4816-I.

StageConnect carries up to 32 channels of 24-bit PCM audio over a single standard XLR cable. Two Ultranet RJ45 outputs distribute audio to compatible P16 monitors and Turbosound iQ loudspeakers over Cat5e: the first output carries StageConnect channels 1–16, while the second carries the 16 onboard analogue input signals.

The DN4816-I can operate as a StageConnect Master or Slave and can receive power from the included 12 V DC adaptor or through StageConnect. A USB Type-B port is provided for firmware updates, while the 49 mm high and 483 mm wide enclosure is suitable for rack installation.
