MIDAS DL16 is a 16-input and 8-output digital stage box designed for routing audio signals between the stage and front-of-house position in live sound, studio and recording systems.

The DL16 features 16 remotely controllable MIDAS PRO mic/line preamplifiers with individually switchable +48 V phantom power. Eight balanced analogue XLR outputs provide return connections for stage monitors, amplifiers and other audio equipment.

Dual AES50 ports with Klark Teknik SuperMAC technology carry multichannel audio, control and clock data over a single shielded CAT5e cable. Up to three DL16 units can be daisy-chained to provide a total of 48 inputs and 24 outputs. The manufacturer specifies a maximum AES50 cable length of 100 metres.

An integrated 16-channel ULTRANET output connects the stage box to a Behringer P16 personal monitoring system. Two optical ADAT outputs can route AES50 channels to external equipment or send the 16 local inputs directly to a recording system in Splitter mode. MIDI IN and OUT provide bidirectional communication with a compatible digital console, while the assignable headphones output and LED level meter support on-stage signal checking.
