Marantz CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 is a slimline 7.2-channel home cinema AV receiver with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, 8K HDMI, HEOS and room correction technologies.

Seven discrete amplification channels support flexible 7.2-channel and Dolby Atmos speaker configurations. Rated output reaches 50 W per channel into 8 Ω, while the compact 109 mm-high enclosure makes the receiver suitable for installations where a conventional full-height AV receiver would take up too much space.

An upgraded 32-bit, 8-channel digital-to-analogue converter processes high-resolution signals across every channel simultaneously. Combined with carefully selected components, it provides greater clarity, dynamic expression and more precise placement of sound within the listening environment. Supported surround formats include Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization, Dolby Atmos Music, DTS-HD, DTS:X and DTS Virtual:X.

Audyssey MultEQ XT automatically adjusts speaker levels, distances and frequency response to suit the listening room. The receiver can also be upgraded with optional Dirac Live room correction. An Audyssey measurement microphone and cardboard microphone stand are included for system calibration.

Six HDMI inputs accommodate televisions, game consoles and other video sources. Three HDMI inputs support signals up to 8K/60 Hz or 4K/120 Hz with bandwidth up to 40 Gbps. Support for eARC, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Dynamic HDR, VRR, QFT, ALLM and AMD FreeSync makes the receiver suitable for both home cinema and modern gaming systems.

Powered by HEOS provides access to music streaming and multi-room audio. The receiver also supports AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Roon Ready, internet radio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and wired Ethernet. A dedicated MM phono input allows a compatible turntable to be connected directly.
