Marantz CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 is a 9.4-channel home cinema AV receiver designed for movies, gaming and high-resolution music in dedicated media rooms and multi-purpose living spaces.

Nine discrete power amplifier channels deliver 110 W per channel with two channels driven (8 ohms, 20 Hz–20 kHz, 0.08% THD). Processing and pre-outs for up to 11.4 channels provide flexibility for expanded surround systems, while four independent subwoofer outputs help distribute low frequencies more evenly throughout the room.

An upgraded high-performance digital-to-analogue converter is designed to improve clarity, resolution and dynamic range. The receiver supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Auro-3D, IMAX Enhanced, 360 Reality Audio and MPEG-H, while Audyssey MultEQ XT32 automatically adapts system performance to the room. Dirac Live can also be added with a separately purchased licence.

Six HDMI inputs and three HDMI outputs support 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz video. eARC, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Dynamic HDR, VRR, QFT, ALLM and AMD FreeSync provide modern connectivity for TVs, media players and game consoles. Built-in HEOS, AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Ethernet enable music streaming and multi-room audio.
