M-Live LAKYX L1 DMX Controller

Lighting shows synchronized with B.Beat projects are created in B.Beat Manager. The LAKYX hardware sends DMX data to the stage lighting rig, while the completed show is stored on the player. No additional computer is needed to run the lights during a performance.

Automatic generation analyzes selected musical tracks and creates fixture movements, colors and effects. A virtual stage configuration defines fixtures, DMX addresses, groups and movement areas. Saved configurations let the same show adapt to the equipment available at different venues.

You can also record a show from an external DMX console, replay it with the music and adjust its alignment. Recording includes a five-second lead-in and tail. Lights-only projects work without backing tracks, using a chosen BPM, time signature, duration and style.

USB-C connects the controller to B.Beat for both data and power. LAKYX is not a DMX adapter that connects directly to a computer over USB. B.Beat firmware and B.Beat Manager must both be version 6.0 or later.

• For more than 32 connected DMX devices, the manufacturer recommends a DMX splitter or repeater.
• The supplied stand mount attaches to the threaded hole on the rear.

Who Is It For

For performances where lighting needs to follow a B.Beat project. L1 provides 128 channels for generated shows, while L5 and L5W offer all 512. Each of these versions can replay external-console recordings of up to 512 channels.
