M-Live GO.8 Automatic Changeover Switch

Two playback systems can share one set of audio, MIDI and video outputs. GO.8 switches eight audio channels, one MIDI line and one HDMI video signal from a main source to a backup source.

Automatic mode monitors a synchronization tone on channel 8 and selects the backup input group when the main signal disappears. Manual switching is available with SELECT. Use AUTO A+B for MIDI or video to avoid unnecessary source changes when the players stop.

A computer project uses a dedicated 1 kHz sync track. With B.Beat and B.Beat Manager 4.7 or later, a 21 kHz tone can be mixed into an audio track, retaining every player audio output. GO.8 does not replace the backup player: both sources must be prepared and started in sync.

The steel enclosure fits a 19-inch rack. Front XLR outputs provide transformer-isolated microphone-level signals; rear DB25 outputs carry direct line-level signals. Two power inputs support a backup power source.

• Ground Lift disconnects signal ground globally or for selected XLR channels when ground-loop noise occurs.
• MUTE silences the outputs. An OLED display and push-to-enter Alpha Dial provide status and settings.
• Channel 7 reads LTC SMPTE timecode from the active A or B bank for display.
• LINK IN and LINK OUT connect multiple GO.8 units for 16, 24 or 32 audio channels. A TRS cable is required.
