The Lab Gruppen CA601 is a single-channel Class D power amplifier delivering 60 W.

The output mode can be selected for 4 Ω or 8 Ω low-impedance loudspeakers and for 70 V or 100 V distributed lines. It is a practical choice for a compact single-zone installation with several ceiling or wall loudspeakers. A selectable 80 Hz high-pass filter reduces low-frequency loading on transformers used in 70/100 V loudspeakers.

The front panel provides master volume, bass and treble controls together with a power button. A balanced Euroblock input accepts a professional audio source, while the RCA pair accepts an unbalanced stereo source and sums both channels to mono. The loudspeaker line uses a removable Euroblock connector, and an RJ45 socket supports a compatible external volume controller.

When no input signal is detected for 20 minutes, the CA601 enters standby and automatically resumes operation when a signal returns. Fanless convection cooling suits quiet environments. The half-rack-width 1U enclosure can sit on a shelf or be installed in a rack, on a wall or underneath furniture.
