The Lab Gruppen CA1201 is a single-channel Class D power amplifier delivering 120 W.

Its output can be configured for 4 Ω or 8 Ω loudspeakers and for 70 V or 100 V distributed lines. This allows the same amplifier to power either a low-impedance loudspeaker circuit or a distributed system of ceiling and wall loudspeakers. A selectable 80 Hz high-pass filter helps prevent low-frequency saturation in transformer-coupled 70/100 V loudspeakers.

The front panel provides power, master volume, bass and treble controls. A balanced Euroblock input accepts professional audio sources, while the RCA pair accepts an unbalanced stereo source and sums it to mono. The loudspeaker line connects through a removable Euroblock output.

The CA1201 enters standby after 20 minutes without an input signal and resumes normal operation when a signal returns. Fanless convection cooling makes it suitable for quiet rooms. Its half-rack-width 1U enclosure can sit on a surface or be installed in a rack, on a wall or under a shelf with the supplied mounting hardware.
