KRK S8.4 Powered Studio Subwoofer

The KRK S8.4 is a compact powered studio subwoofer designed to extend the frequency range of studio monitors for mixing, mastering, music production, sound design, and critical evaluation of low-frequency content.

Its 8-inch glass-aramid composite woofer features a 1.5-inch voice coil and delivers low-frequency extension down to 29 Hz. The front-firing bass port helps reduce boundary coupling and airflow noise.

An integrated 109 W Class D amplifier delivers a maximum peak sound pressure level of 112.8 dB. A four-position crossover control makes it possible to integrate the subwoofer with KRK studio monitors or models from other manufacturers.

An optional footswitch can bypass both the subwoofer and its crossover filter, sending a full-range signal to the main monitors. This provides a quick way to compare a mix with and without extended low-frequency reproduction.

XLR, 1/4-inch TRS, and RCA inputs and outputs allow the KRK S8.4 to connect to a wide range of studio systems. Volume, input sensitivity, polarity, auto-standby, and ground-lift controls help adapt its performance to the room and monitoring setup.
