The KRK S10.4 is a powered studio subwoofer designed to extend the frequency range of studio monitors for mixing, mastering, music production, and detailed evaluation of low-frequency content.

Its 10-inch low-frequency driver features a glass-aramid composite cone and a 2-inch voice coil. The design provides controlled bass reproduction, while the extended 27–156 Hz frequency range reveals information that smaller studio monitors cannot reproduce.

The integrated Class D amplifier delivers 160 W of continuous power and a maximum peak SPL of 117.2 dB. The front-firing bass reflex port extends low-frequency reproduction, reduces interaction with nearby room boundaries, and is shaped to minimise airflow noise.

A four-position crossover control allows the S10.4 to be matched with KRK or third-party studio monitors. The bypass function, operated using an optional footswitch, disables the subwoofer and high-pass filter while sending a full-range signal to the monitors. This allows quick comparisons with and without the subwoofer’s contribution.

Left and right XLR, 1/4-inch TRS, and RCA inputs and outputs allow the subwoofer to be integrated into different studio systems. Volume, input-sensitivity, polarity, standby, and ground-lift controls support accurate setup of the complete monitoring system.
