IK Multimedia TONEX Board Effects Processor

IK Multimedia TONEX Board is a guitar and bass effects processor combining captured amp, cabinet and pedal Tone Models. It supports live performance, rehearsal and studio use.

AI Machine Modeling reproduces the sound and playing response of real gear. Two signal paths accommodate up to four simultaneous Tone Models, with one amp and one stomp model per path.

Series and parallel routing let you combine two rigs. Independent outputs can feed an amplifier and a PA separately, while the effects loop accommodates external pedals in stereo or as two mono loops.

The 5-inch touchscreen handles routing and parameter editing. Footswitches recall presets, scenes or individual effects. MIDI and two external control inputs support additional controllers and expression pedals.

USB-C transfers Tone Models, presets and firmware updates. TONEX Modeler creates captures on a computer; TONEX Board Editor organizes the library and transfers sounds between the computer and the processor.

• Global EQ for each output pair adjusts the signals sent to different systems independently.
• Four-cable operation integrates the processor with a guitar amplifier equipped with an effects loop.

The manufacturer still lists the 4-in / 2-out USB audio interface with direct monitoring as a feature planned for a future firmware update.

Included software comprises TONEX Modeler, TONEX software, TONEX Board Editor and AmpliTube 5 MAX. Full support for Board presets in AmpliTube is planned for early 2027.

Presets from earlier TONEX products can be imported and are converted automatically to the Board format.
