The Q 118SA is an 18" active bass-reflex subwoofer from FBT's Q series, built around a high-excursion woofer with a 4" voice coil and a 1200W RMS Class D amplifier with switch-mode power supply. It delivers a frequency response of 30 Hz to 100 Hz with a maximum peak SPL of 139 dB half-space, positioning it as a high-output touring and installation subwoofer for demanding live sound applications.

The onboard DSP provides 6 presets covering four distinct voicings (Original, Deep, Punch, Infra) and two cardioid configuration presets for use in multi-subwoofer arrays. A 6-step digital delay and 0/180-degree phase switch enable precise time and polarity alignment with full-range tops. Two M20 top-mount sockets support satellite speakers above the cabinet; powerCON TRUE1 duplex connectivity allows daisy-chaining of AC power between units. The 18 mm Baltic birch plywood enclosure is fitted with four aluminium handles and provision for optional rear-mounted wheels.

  • Punch: concentrates power in the 60–95 Hz range for maximum impact; LPF at 95 Hz; optimised for high-power applications and rock music.
  • Infra: similar to Deep in extension and low distortion; LPF at 75 Hz with all-pass phase alignment filter, allowing ground-stack and flying subwoofer combinations to operate coherently in the 50–75 Hz overlap range.
  • Cardioid Rear Original 1 Front: cardioid array preset for 2-subwoofer configurations; apply Original to the front-facing unit.
  • Cardioid Rear Original 2 Front: cardioid array preset for 3-subwoofer configurations; apply Original to the two front-facing units.
• 6-step digital delay: adjustable digital delay for time-aligning the subwoofer with satellite speakers and other system components.
• PowerCON TRUE1 duplex: locking powerCON TRUE1 power input and output connectors allow AC power daisy-chaining between units, reducing cable runs in multi-subwoofer configurations.
• Dual M20 top-mount sockets: two 20 mm top-mount stand sockets support satellite speakers above the subwoofer cabinet; compatible with FBT FMS 220BK and MSA 220BKS stands.
