FBT MDA 4800 Power Amplifier

FBT MDA 4800 is a 4-channel Class D power amplifier.

It powers fixed low-impedance loudspeaker systems and 70 / 100 V lines. An integrated 4 × 4 DSP matrix provides 4 zones with assignable sources.

Control is available in a browser on a computer, tablet or phone, through Ethernet or the integrated Wi-Fi access point. Wi-Fi provides control connectivity.

4 balanced Euroblock inputs have parallel unbalanced RCA sockets. Stereo digital audio can be passed between amplifiers through the S/PDIF input and output.

Main Features

• Zone compressor and source-priority ducking lower background music while a priority announcement is active.
• Input processing provides up to 5 parametric filters per input and 4 stored input-mix scenes.
• A sine and noise generator supports system testing and sound masking.
• Output DSP includes HPF and LPF, parametric EQ, FIR import from CSV or TXT, delay, polarity, peak and RMS limiters.
• 8-pin GPIO supports external volume, standby and mute control.
• Settings support firmware updates, configuration backup, speaker-preset libraries and password protection. The MDA-ZC wall controller is sold separately.
• Automatic Power Sharing is not available on this model; plan loads using the specified channel configurations.

Dynamic microphones are supported. No phantom power is provided, so a condenser microphone requires a suitable external supply or preamplifier.

Set the output mode before connecting loudspeakers. The initial Hi-Z HPF setting is 70 Hz to reduce transformer saturation at low frequencies.
