FBT LIBRA 8S Passive Subwoofer
FBT LIBRA 8S is a pendant Passive Subwoofer for fixed indoor sound installations. It extends the low-frequency range of LIBRA 5CT speakers, allowing the system to be suspended above the listening area without taking up floor space.
The long-excursion 8-inch driver faces downward. The one-way Bass Reflex cabinet uses Baltic birch plywood with scratch-resistant paint, while an aluminium grille protects the driver.
LIBRA 8S has no internal crossover. External DSP with FBT-approved presets is required, either in a processed amplifier or in a separate loudspeaker processor upstream of the amplifier.
The recommended amplifier power is 300 W at 8 Ω. It must not be connected directly to a 100 V line.
Main Features
- 360° omnidirectional coverage distributes low frequencies around the speaker.
- The 4-pin Euroblock connector provides INPUT and LINK contacts for another speaker in parallel. The combined load must remain compatible with the amplifier.
- The 3.5 m suspension cable allows the installation height to be adjusted to the room.

Who Is It For
