The Electro-Harmonix Op-Amp Big Muff Pi is an authentic reproduction of the 1978 "V2" circuit popularized by Billy Corgan and The Smashing Pumpkins. Unlike traditional Big Muff models, this fuzz pedal uses operational amplifiers (op-amps) and three gain stages, resulting in a more aggressive, "cutting" sound, perfect for heavier rock styles.

This guitar effect is housed in a compact "Nano" enclosure but retains all the power of the original. Its most important feature is the "Tone Bypass" switch, which allows you to completely bypass the tone control. This gives the sound extra mid-range and an untamed energy that is difficult to achieve with other members of the Big Muff family.
